Genode OS Framework 25.02 released ------------------------------------- With Genode version 25.02 released in February, we nicely wrapped up our intense line of work on top-notch multi-monitor support, covering the window-management level, and going as far as exposing the new comforts to virtual machines. Under the hood, the topic served as driving motivation for SIMD performance optimizations that found their way into the new release as well. In the release documentation, you can find a short video showcasing the result: https://genode.org/documentation/release-notes/25.02 Further highlights of the new version are performance optimizations of our custom microkernel, Qemu running directly on Genode, and added support for Intel Meteor Lake as well as F&S MX8MP armStone platforms. Systems Meetup Dresden hosted at Genode Labs ----------------------------------------------- Dresden is east Germany's biggest hub for operating-system software. Besides featuring a highly regarded OS chair at TU Dresden and being the home of dedicated systems companies like Kernkonzept, Cyberus, and Genode Labs, it hosts development teams of large companies like Amazon's AWS.
